This supply runs very hot and seems to be enclosed in a mu-metal magnetic shield as well. You may find the -16 or +16 pulled to the opposite polarity if one of the regulators has failed. You will find the voltages reading across the connector from left end as +16, grd,-16 and then several others including one at about 9.5 volts and then the phantom power at around +48 volts.
Xboard emu driver#
Emu xboard 61 driver has a trim interface that displays the current exchange rates of 18 different. You can access the power cable to the main board by removing the bottom access panel. cvs/docs/E-mu-xboard-25-driver-windows-7-vuywi.rst. Scroll down to "get manual" and click to download. note there are SLIGHT discrepancies depending on the vintage of your unit.: The one I fixed had the MAIN insert driver blown causing no main output. takes a lot of time to pull all the knobs and unscrew the main board and the headphone jack to get the board out. Check the supply voltage and PRAY that the fault is NOT on the main board.

What causes this is when one of the 16 volt plus or minus supplies is shorted out or low.
Xboard emu update#
It should be playing through logic, but no noise whatsoever is being made when i play the board- highly frustrating as I really need this for my music recording and bought it specifically for this reason.Ĭould somebody PLEASE tell me what I'm not doing or doing wrong, whether the software/driver installation is okay (I have installed numerous times and it has said that the installation has been successful.) I don't have proteus X installed as Mac doesnt support it and i have also downloaded core audioSDK1.4.3 as i though that maybve i needed to update driver.Just worked on one of these.
Xboard emu pro#
On it, i have logic pro 8 set up and need some training through that but am learning more and more about things.Īnyway, i cannot get the software instrument to play through logic, I've added an instrument track (software instrument) and selected the I/O above the Output 1-2 and clicked on ES1-Synthesizer.

I have recently bought an EMU Xboard49 to work through a desktop MacOSX that I have bought. I have a HUGE issue and its becoming extremely irritating nevermind frustrating. I don't know the reason for this, as I have not changed or added anything since returning the other Xboard. This is most likely caused by a driver version mismatch. There was a problem initializing the streaming engine. The streaming engine could not be initialized. When I attempt to access it, here is what I get: I say that because I can't even get into it. The E-MU Xboard 25 features full-size, velocity sensitive keys with after-touch, 16 programmable real-time controllers, Xboard Control editing software.
Xboard emu portable#
The ProteusX LE software situation is even worse now than it was before. The E-MU Xboard 25 Professional USB MIDI controller for PC and Mac offers unmatched playability, real-time control and programming in a portable keyboard package ideal for studio and stage use. This unit, now, works flawlessly with Reason playing all notes simultaneously played - and with no latency. So, I took that one back, today, and got the E-MU Xboard 49 again.

It was all right, but nowhere near the Xboard, IMO. I took the unit back to GC and picked up the M-Audio 61ES controller. On the other hand, ProteusX LE (coupled with CubaseLE) would play all of the notes (whether they were 3,5 or 6 at a time) but with great static & latency. If I attempted to add a fourth note it would not sound unless I released a finger from one of the other three. Any voice that was called up in Reason would sound just fine - but no more than three at a time. I have Reason 3.0 on my computer, as well as CubaseLE. What I had (very frequently) experienced was very staticy sounding notes, and problems with latency.

I also didn't mean to be as vague as I was, on my initial post. I apologize for the elapased time - between my last posting and now, but I had really been quite busy.
